I have a 99 z28 4l60e trans that dosent want to shift into third and fourth. When i get on the gas it goes to second and when i let off it idles down like it has a big stall convert. Sometimes it will shift but when it gets hot is when it starts acting up i had it rebuilt 7 times, then i bought a used one it lasted about a year then went out so i rebuilt it my self. Can the computer cause it to mess up?

@TheStupidgenuis12 your best bet would be to take the transmission out and actually look inside it to see whats wrong, or just replace it

Syncromeshes??? HAHAHA. SynchroNIZER (synchro). SynchroMESH is a GM trademark name for manual transmission fluid. And clutch bands? You have clutches and you have bands, but they are two very different things. Clutches are inside the drums, bands are outside. I think you need to learn a bit more about transmissions before posting instructional videos, my friend.

Funny and true how just as he begins to discuss automatic transmission problems a Honda Accord is used as an example. Even now Honda still can’t figure out how to make a durable transmission.

@CaMaRo1RoC89 My transmission was slipping so I checked it and it was low and I added a pint and I put too much. Will that cause a problem?

Is there a way to flush out a blockage in the valve body so the transmission fluid circulates.
